Korea Ginseng Corp.(KGC) sponsored the “World Vision Global 6K for Water”running event at Sangam World Cup Park's Peace Plaza in Seoul on Oct. 3.

The World Vision Global 6K for Water event is a global donation event designed to empathize and help participants walk and run for more than 6 kilometers daily to get water, a KGC official said.

The participation fees are used to provide clean drinking water to children in the African region.

Some 2,500 participants took part in the event to help African children, and KGC supported the event through the campaign, called "Mr. Hong, will you do me a favor?”

It presented bracelets and handkerchiefs for promotion of the campaign to participants, and also operated a proof shot photo booth for water droplets that will donate 5,000 won per case to encourage them to participate in the campaign.

Many people participated in the spread of the campaign message through offline and SNS activities, and many family members participated in the campaign, drawing attention.

The campaign, which has been carried out by KGC since 2017, is a donation campaign to support drinking water sanitation projects in Africa by raising donations from part of its product sales and customers.
