The Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia is pleased to inform that on November 18, 2015, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Marko Machicao participated in the official launch of the 2016 Dakar Rally that was organized by Amaury Sport Organization (ASO) and held in Paris, France.

Next year new edition of the Dakar Rally will take place from January 3 to 16, 2016 in Argentina and Bolivia. In this regard, Minister Machicao told reporters from Paris that: "Yesterday (Wednesday) morning we were at the conference launching the 2016 Dakar where Bolivia and Argentina will be part of this new edition, which will have some special features such as stage Uyuni Uyuni-that will be the longest stage of this release".

In this regards, the Embassy of Bolivia in Seoul is glad to inform that precisely Uyuni, where the major Salt Lake of the world is located and it is becoming one of the most popular destination spot of Koreans visiting Bolivia, will be the epicenter of this year’s rally.

Another peculiarity for this rally edition is that it will host all categories, which are cars, trucks, motorcycles and Quadratracks. According to ASO, the third version of the Dakar by Bolivia will be in three days between January 7 and 9, 2016.
