Risotto and seafood experience at Il Ponte

17 October 2016, Seoul, Korea… Il Ponte, Millennium Seoul Hilton’s popular Italian trattoria, will host a special promotion featuring risotto and seafood that will delight your palate. For the month of October, our chef will offer exquisite a la carte options as well as a special set menu showcasing risotto and seafood specialties.

The a la carte menu will include: Risotto with Cuttlefish and Squid Ink (KW36,000); Risotto with Green and White Asparagus (KW34,000); and Risotto with Radicchio and Porcini Mushroom (KW37,000).

The set menu is a four-course event consisting of: Seared Sea Scallops and Ripe Tomato Salsa served with Parmesan Crisp and Rocket Salad; Prawn and Sea Bass Risotto flavoured with Saffron, Olive and Pistachio-crusted Beef Tenderloin served with Baby Carrots and Sundried Tomato Mash; and ending with Chocolate and Pistachio Mille Feuille served with Berries Compote and Strawberry Ice Cream. This special set menu is priced at KW89,000 per person.

Lim Jang-Hwan, the head chef of Il Ponte, says “Personally, I would choose Risotto as one of the most complicated Italian dishes to make. It does require a fair amount of attention to make the rice to hold up well for the creamy texture by adding in the broth a scoop at a time. Also, the texture of vegetables and seafood needs to be well-harmonized with the rice”.
