The Korea Post news:

Ahn Cheol-soo meets ambassadors, madams

Co-Chairman Ahn Cheol-soo of the New Politics Alliance for Democracy met the ambassadors of Slovakia, Chile, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Turkey and Austria at the Protocol Office of the Gimpo Airport on March 22, 2014 arranged by Chairman Lee Kyung-sik of The Korea Post.

The ambassadors were on their way to Gwangyang to attend the 2014 Gwangyang International Apricot Culture Festival and Chairman Ahn was on his way to Busan.

When suggested by The Korea Post how Ahn wished to meet the ambassadors, he readily accepted the offer and happily met each ambassador and posed for the camera.

Ahn spoke very good English (perhaps better than any other leading political figure of Korea), and exchanged pleasantries with the ambassadors and madams. The he spoke and acted, it was obvious he was very much interested in the promotion of close relations with the international community.

Secretary General Ban Ki-moon (former minister of foreign affairs of the Republic

of Korea) was painted by established Korean artist Kim Dong-hyun in 2010. Ban

was the foreign minister during the liberal government of the late former President

Kim Dae-jung (Nobel Peace Prize Laureate) and so, politically, he could be classified liberal,

neither conservative nor progressive. Ban is among the much-talked-about Presidential

candidates of the future.
