Humor from Korean economic dailies:

Seoul Kyungje

Lawyer

A man calls his lawyer’s office and asks to speak to Mr. Smith, his lawyer.

A woman replies, “I’m sorry, but Mr. Smith died last week.”

The man says nothing and hangs up the phone.

The next day he calls again and asks for Mr. Smith. The woman says, “I told you yesterday that Mr. Smith has died.”

The man again says nothing and hangs up the phone.

The next day he calls again and asks for his lawyer.

The woman gets angry and says, “I have told you he has passed away. Why do you continue to call?”

“I like so much hearing the good news,” he answers.

Noah's Ark (2)

The Lord said, “So you have got the building permit for the ark. Now what’s the problem?”

Noah replied, “My neighbors objected, claiming that was violating zoning ordinance by building the ark in my front yard. So I had to get a variance from the city planning board.”

The Lord wanted to know, “So you can now get busy building the ark?”

“Oh, no, Lord. Now I have another big problem….”

(The Korea Post editor’s interpolation: The story must be about the actual situation in Korea.)
