S. Korea's jobless rate stands at 3.2 pct in October
South Korea's jobless rate remained unchanged from a month earlier in October, but the pace of job creation slowed to a four-month low, a government report showed Wednesday.

1000-1200 hours, Wednesday 12 November 2014: Welcome ceremony and introduction of Oriential medicine at the Banquet Room (12th floor), Diplomatic Center Building
1200-1300 hours: Attend luncheon hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Seo.
1300-1320 hours: Move from Diplomatic Center to PyunKang Oriental Clinic.
1320-1500 hours: Have Oriental health checkup, tour Clinic facilities, view introductory video, receive Pyunkang-tang Oriental medicine as a gift.
Director Seo also has Oriental Clinic in various other cities in Korea, including one in Myeong-dong in Seoul, Gunsan and Ansan, and outside Korea he has one in Los Angeles and Osaka, Japan.
Dr. Seo’s Oriental medicine, Pyunkang-tang and Pyunkang-hwan (which obtained the approval of the US FDA), are exported to over 30 different countries of the world--with the annual turnover exceeding 17 billion won (US$16 million).
According to World Health Organization, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) which includes emphysema and bronchiectasis, has the fourth highest mortality rate which is expected to become third highest by 2030. It said that 65 million persons are already serious cases of COPD and in Korea every third person among the senior citizens above the age of 65 is suffering from COPD. Pyunkang-tang and Pyunkang-hwan are known to be good for controlling COPD diseases.

Slovak Minister of Economy Pavlis accents Korean investment in Slovakia
Ambassador Milan Lajciak of the Slovak Republic in Seoul hosted a dinner reception at the Ambassador Hotel in Seoul on Nov. 10, 2014 in honor of visiting Minister Pavol Pavlis of Economy of the Slovak Republic who was currently visiting Korea for the purpose of expanding economic cooperation between Korea and the Slovak Republic, especially inviting of Korean businesses to invest in his country.
Speaking to the guests, Ambassador Lajciak expressed his welcome and gratitude for the guests attending the reception and introduced Minister Pavlis of Economy and his delegation.
In a brief interview with Publisher-Chairman Lee Kyung-sik of The Korea Post, Minister Pavlis said that IT (information technology) was one of the most important areas where Slovakia wished to invite the Korean businesses to invest in Slovakia. Then came the automobile industry, he disclosed, where Korean businesses were most welcome for investment or formation of joint venture with Slovak counterparts.
Then he said that the Slovak Republic had some of the world’s most attractive tourist destinations, which included some that have been designated by UNESCO as cultural heritage of the world. It appeared that he was suggesting there were attractive sights, sounds and delicious food and beverage in his country which the Korean business people could enjoy while doing business in the Slovak Republic.
There were many distinguished guests attending the party from Korean society as well as from the international community, particularly the Diplomatic Corps in Korea and the Slovak community.
Among the Korean guests in attendance were Rep. Hwang Jin-Ha (ruling Saenuri Party, chairman of the National Defense Committee of the National Assembly and a retired Army lieutenant [three-star] general), Publisher-Chairman Lee Kyung-sik of The Korea Post, President Lee Jeong-baek of Olive Ad Co., Vice President Lee Myung-hoon of KOTFA and Executive Senior Vice President Chung Hunjin of Bangjoo Optical.
From the Diplomatic Corps in Korea came many mission chiefs who included Ambassadors Elisabeth Bertagnoli of Austria, Petar Andonov of Bulgaria, Tomasz Kozlowski of the EU Delegation, Sergio Mercuri of Italy, Krzysztof Majka of Poland and Calin Fabian of Romania. There also was UN NGO Peace Ambassador Ferninand Renz for Germany.
From the international business community also came a good number of CEOs and other senior executives, who included CEO David Harrow of GGB Bearing Technology.
Members of the Delegation of Minister Pavlis present at the party included Director General Bruno Hromy of the Cabinet of the Minister (who presented a beautiful English interpretation of the speech and remarks of Minister Pavlis and CEO Robert Simoncic of Sario Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency.
