Famed Buddhist leaders of many different countries are attending the Memorial and Prayer Service as well as noted personalities of the government and all other segments of Korean society and the world.

The Grand Buddhist Service is also in marking the 70th anniversary of Korea’s Liberation on August 15, 1945.

Time/date: 10 a.m. Sunday 17 May 2015

Place: The Grand Head Temple of the Korean Buddhist Jogye Order at Gyeonji-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul (see attached location map)

Schedule of the day is as follows:

1000 hours, 17 May 2015: Meet at the Grand Head Temple of the Korean Buddhist Jogye Order in Jongno, Seoul (see map)

Busy God

In the cafeteria of a Catholic school, the children were lined up for lunch. There was a large pile of apples.

The nun made a note and placed it in front of the apples. It read: “Take only one, God is watching.”

Further down the line was a large pile of chocolate cookies. One of the boys had written a note of his own and placed it in front of the cookies.

It read: “Take all you want, God is now watching the apples.”
