Spend only TWO HOURS and introduce your representative traditional foods at Namyangju Festival

Would Your Excellency kindly forward this message to the Madam?

Dear Madam:

I am presenting this letter to Madam by His Excellency the Ambassador.

Would Madam be interested in introducing the wonderful traditional food your country at the Namyangju Slow Life Food Festival for two hours either on the morning or afternoon on any one day between October 12 and 16, 2015?

The host provides all the food materials and cooking equipment and utensils for the demonstrating Madam, and pays each country 300,000 won for transportation and other expenses.

The Korea Post will give full-fledged publicity to the wonderful traditional food of your country prepared by Madam with all five media units of The Korea Post. The event will also be covered by the leading Korean daily newspapers, TV, news agencies and various Internet and print media companies.

We have had a very short notice, and I would greatly appreciate it if Madam would kindly advise me of your intent of participation at your earliest convenience. My phone number is 010-5201-1740 and regular phones are 2298-1740/2 or 1745/6. My email address is edt@koreapost.com or korpost@cholcom.

In the meantime, Madam (or the Embassy) can also send photo images of the representative traditional foods of your country to the above email which will be put on display at the Pavilion throughout the 10-day period when about half a million people (Koreans and expatriates) are expected to visit the Festival from October 8 to 17, 2015.

In case Madam cannot make it, I would appreciate it if Madam would kindly recommend any desired member of the Embassy to introduce the wonderful food of your country.

Sincerely Yours

/s/

Lee Kyung-sik

Publisher-Chairman

Answer:

1?Indoor. 2?Equipment and utensils will be provided by the host. 3?No. All the food materials are provided by the host.

2. What do you means by ‘2 hours’? The food making process or do we make any kind of presentation? How many dishes should be prepared?

One person (with or without assistant[s]) at a time. The food preparation is done once in the morning and once in the afternoon between any day agreed upon by the Madam and the Host between 12 and 16 October 2015.

5. If not Madame, but the professional Chef of the Embassy make the presentation, is it OK?

While in China, Pres. Park to hold summit and massive business forum

In 2.5 years in power, Park has visited China three times, and held six summits with President Xi Jinping

President Park Geun-hye plans to hold a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping during her upcoming China visit on Sept. 2 and meet with Premier Li Keqiang later that afternoon, the Blue House announced on Aug. 31.Park will also be accompanied by 156 business leaders, her biggest delegation yet for an overseas tour.

After 2 2 agreement, South and North building to civilian exchanges

Implementation of the agreement reached in the “two-plus-two” talks between high-level officials from North and South Korea held from Aug. 22 to Aug. 24 is gaining momentum, with the two sides agreeing for staff from the Red Cross to meet on Sep. 7 to prepare for reunions of families divided by the Korean War that are scheduled to occur around the Chuseok Harvest Festival. .

[Reporter’s notebook] After joint agreement, where to for inter-Korean relations?

Seeing the developments at the latest senior inter-Korean talks, with North Korea insisting on evicting Workers’ Party secretary Kim Yang-gon and South Korea adamant about yanking People’s Army general politburo chief Hwang Pyong-so, left me with the sense that Seoul and Pyongyang’s heads are in two very different places right now. .

Halal Korean cuisine restaurant coming to Daegu next year

Daegu will be getting its own halal Korean restaurant next year.

The term “halal” refers to foods and products consumed by Muslims, or followers of the Islamic faith. South Korea currently has five certified halal restaurants. The new restaurant in Daegu would be the second serving halal Korean food - including bulgogi, bibimbap, and grilled fish - after another in Seoul’s Itaewon neighborhood. .

[Analysis] Pres. Park kicking off a new diplomatic campaign around China

As South Korean President Park Geun-hye enters the second half of her term in office, she is kicking off a new diplomatic campaign by heading to China on Sep. 2 for a three-day visit. Since Park is the only leader of a country allied with the US that has decided to attend China‘s military parade, South Korea’s relationship with China could develop rapidly and that the two countries could work together more closely on finding a solution to the North Korean nuclear issue. .

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to attend WWII commemoration in Beijing

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has announced plans to attend a Sept. 3 event in Beijing to celebrate the seventieth anniversary of victory in China’s war against Japan and fascism. The decision comes amid objections from Tokyo over the appropriateness of his attendance. .

Working level talks for family reunions raise chances for inter-Korean d?tente

An agreement to hold working-level Red Cross talks at Panmunjeom on Sept. 7 for divided family reunions is raising hopes for possible thawing of inter-Korean relations. But the Blue House, while welcoming of the “forward-thinking” stance from Pyongyang, continues to voice a cautious standpoint as it focuses on figuring out the reason for the North’s sudden shift in attitude from military tensions.
