On May 22, 2020, the board of directors of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association was held on the 29th floor of the POSCO Tower in Songdo, Incheon. It was the official launching ceremony since the establishment of the corporation.
The newly launched Korea Uzbekistan Business Association (Chairman Kim Yong-Ku) will play a pivotal role in the development of economic cooperation between Korea and Uzbekistan and will start supporting official business to successfully advance the Uzbekistan business.

The following projects are carried out as a bridgehead for trade promotion and economic exchange between the two countries.

- Official support project related to Uzbekistan local expansion
- Korean Uzbekistan entrepreneurs, businessmen, and exchange business
- Uzbekistan economic policy improvement and friendship promotion project
- Support project for Uzbekistan national support and aid development project

The Association of Corporations under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy plays a pivotal platform for national economic development through trade promotion and exchange activation between Korea and Uzbekistan.

With the establishment of the Uzbekistan Trade Representative in Korea in November 2018, it has developed with great effort in economic cooperation and trade promotion between the two countries.

The association, affiliated with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, serves as a pivotal platform for national economic development by promoting trade and promoting exchanges between Korea and Uzbekistan.

With the establishment of the Uzbekistan Trade Representative in Korea in November 2018, the two countries have been making great efforts to promote bilateral economic cooperation and trade.

Based on this foundation, a Uzbekistan Business Association will actively support Korea's top companies through a strong government network with recognized public confidence to help them stably advance into Uzbekistan's emerging market, the center of the emerging new Silk Road.

The association tapped CJ Group Chairman Sohn Kyung-sik as advisor, ShinDong Resources Co.,Ltd and President of small and medium size company Kim Yong-gu as chairman, and CEO Kim Chang-keon Evergreen Motors as senior chairman.
