LG Electronics will release its strategic smartphone called 'LG WING' through Verizon, the largest mobile carrier in the U.S., on Oct. 15 to target the U.S. market in earnest.

Foreign media also presented favorable reviews ahead of its full-scale launch. "LG Wing is best for customers who enjoy mobile videos or dream of becoming a YouTuber with their smartphones," said GIZMODO, an IT media outlet. "It is the most interesting smartphone that was released this year."

"LG Wing is optimized for multitasking such as web surfing while watching media," said TechRadar, a global IT media.

LG Wing adds new user experience by applying "Bar type mode" that is familiar to users and "Swivel Mode" that is new to users.

An LG official said, “Customers can use it like a normal smartphone, but if necessary, turn the main screen clockwise to use it with a second screen that was hidden. In the swivel mode of the LG wing, both screens can be used as one application, or two applications can be used.”

“It is also possible to use two applications in the swivel mode of the LG wing. Users can chat with friends on the second screen or search while watching a screen video on the main screen,” he added.

LG Electronics is moving to release the LG Wing in global markets such as Germany, Italy, Spain, and Australia sequentially.
