Ambassadors of Morocco, the UAE, Romania, Kuwait and Australia

Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn received credentials from five new ambassadors to the Republic of Korea at the Presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae in Seoul on Dec. 27, 2016. The five new foreign envoys are Ambassadors Chafik Rachadi of Morocco, Adullah Saif Ali Saleem Al-Nuaimi of the UAE, Mihai Ciompec of Romania, Bader Mohammad Al-Awadi o Kuwait and Ambassador James Choi of Australia.
The credential receiving ceremony was held not at the Main Hall of the Presdiential Office but at the Guest House in accordance with precedence of such ceremony conducted in 2004.

In 2004, while the then President Roh Moo-hyun was in a state of suspension of performance of official duties as the President of the Republic of Korea, and therefore the then acting President Koh Kun received credentials from the five newly accredited foreign ambassadors.
