Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction will participate in the Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project as part of its strategy to strengthen its eco-friendly energy business.

Such a project to demonstrate the electricity cycle of green hydrogen using wind power generation is the first time in Korea.

Doosan Heavy Industries signed a task agreement on Nov. 25 to promote a "proven project for the production, storage and utilization of green hydrogen" organized by Jeju Energy Corporation and supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

A total of 10 organizations and companies, including the Jeju Provincial Government, Korea Midland Power Co. and Korea Gas Corp., participated in the agreement.

Under the pact, each participant will develop and demonstrate technologies for green hydrogen whole cycle that have no carbon emissions by producing hydrogen from electricity produced from wind power generation and storing, transporting and utilizing them.
