The 15th Top Sales Awards Ceremony for 2021 held in Daejeon

Daejeon City announced on Nov. 11 that it held the '15th Top Sales Awards Ceremony for 2021 and presented a certificate to promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) at Hotel ICC in Doryong-dong, Yuseong-gu.

A total of 287 companies have been selected for the Top Sales Awards from 2007 to this year, and a total of 778 companies have been selected for promising small and medium-sized enterprises since 1998.

At the awards ceremony, the Top Sales Tower was awarded to 20 companies that contributed to the revitalization of the local economy by exceeding 10 billion won in sales in 2020 by pioneering domestic markets.

In addition, 56 companies in regions with growth potential were each awarded a promising SME certificate.

Twenty companies including LX Semicon, Solid ENG, Sunggyung Food and Handok Cleantech were awarded the Top Sales Tower.

The companies selected as promising small and medium-sized enterprises are 56 companies including i3 System and BBC, which are SMEs with headquarters or business sites in the region and have been operating factories in Daejeon for more than 3 years.

In addition, nine top-ranking employees and 41 promising SMEs who contributed to the improvement of productivity and sales of the company also shared the joy of receiving the award.

Companies that won the Top Sales Tower and promising SMEs will receive a 3% interest difference favor in the case of the ‘Small Business Stability Fund’ loans and 2% of the interest difference favor in the case of the ‘Fund for Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness Enhancement’.

When participating in the Daejeon City’s Trade Support Project, they will receive incentives related to various corporate support policies, such as granting additional points and promoting companies.

Daejeon City Mayor Heo Tae-jung, who attended the awards ceremony, said, “I sincerely thank the entrepreneurs who made amazing achievements despite the difficult economic situation. We will continue to do our best to support the growth of Korean SMEs, expand domestic markets, and support the growth of global companies.”
