In recognition of promoting bilateral exchanges between Italy and Korea
Chairman Chung Mong-won of Halla Group received the Order of National Friendship from Italy on Dec. 3.
According to the Italian Embassy in Korea, the award ceremony was held at the Italian Embassy's residence on Dec. 3 under the supervision of the Italian Ambassador to Korea Federico Failla.
The medal awarded to Chairman Chung is the ‘Ordine di Stella d'Italia’ and is awarded to Italians and foreigners who have contributed to bilateral exchanges between Italy and certain countries.
The recipients are recommended by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation to the President and selected.
The Order of Friendship of the Italian Republic takes the form of a knightly order, and the medal awarded to Chairman Chung this time is at the commander level (Commendatore).
