After the Presidential election, their two parties will be merged immediately

Presidential candidate Yoon Suk-yeol of the main opposition People Power Party and Ahn Cheol-soo of the minor People Party announced the unification of candidates on the morning of March 3.

Both sides have reached a unified agreement at the meeting took place early in the day.

The two candidates held a press conference at the National Assembly's communication hall in Yeoui-do, Seoul and said, "We have decided to gather our will for a regime change, that is, a 'better regime change,' as the beginning of creating a better Republic of Korea."

They said, “We have no doubt that a perfect regime change will be realized with today's declaration of unification. We will make sure to achieve a regime change and prepare for an era of great change for innovation in Korea only according to the will of the people."

They also said, "The two of us are one team. We will make up for each other's shortcomings and make sure to achieve a regime change and create a successful regime through a mutually competent and prepared administration."

Candidate Ahn said, "For the future of Korea and the success of the national integration government, we humbly promise the people. I have decided to support candidate Yoon Suk-yeol."

In response, candidate Yoon, who was standing next to candidate Ahn, said, "I will definitely win in response to the will of candidate Ahn Cheol-soo to create a successful national integration government and succeed together."

They also decided to push for a merger of the two parties immediately after the Presidential election.
