Madam Park assures she would attend Yoon’s inaugural ceremony

President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol visited the residence of former President Park Geun-hye in Yuga-eup, Dalseong-gun, Daegu on the afternoon of April 12 for a meeting with her.
After the meeting, President-elect Yoon said that he has personally been feeling sorry for what had happened to her and between Park and himself.: Yoon than said that he made the remarks to Madam Park.
Yoon visited the residence of Madam Park in Dalseong-gun, Daegu on the afternoon of the day and had a conversation with her. After leaving his private residence and meeting with reporters, Yoon said, “We talked about President Park’s health.”

Yoon arrived at the residence around 1:56 pm that day. Yoon Young-se (vice chairman of Yoon’s Presidential Transition Committee) and Lawyer Yoo Young-ha (who worked for Park) were present at the meeting of Yoon and Park.
Vice-Chairman Kwon said at a briefing, "President-elect Yoon said he was very sorry for the kind of bad relationship between the special prosecutor and the suspect in the past." According to Lawyer Yoo, Yoon said to Madam Park, 'I am very sorry and I have always felt sorry that happened in the past (between himself as a prosecution leader and Park, then a discredited former President.)
Vice-Chairman Kwon continued, “During the Admistation of then President Park Geun-hye, there were some very good policies and achievements, but it was very unfortunate that they were not made very widely known. There are growing opinions among the people that efforts should be made to restore the honor of Madam Park.”
Vice-Chairman Kwon said, "President-elect Yoon politely requested Madam Park to attend his inauguration ceremony as Korea’s next President, to which Madam Park replied that she would try to attend if situation permits." President-elect Yoon assured Madam Park, "As Madam lives here, there maybe some difficulties in visiting her hospital in Seoul and I will do everything I could to make sure that there would be little inconveniences regarding security or other matters when visiting the hospital in Seoul."
