The Korea-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) announced on June 23 that it has elected CEO Holger Gerrmann of Porsche Korea as the German president of the KGCCI at the 41st regular general meeting held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul.
The new Chairman Gerrmann has gained various experiences by serving as a major player in Porsche AG, Porsche Design, and Porsche UK subsidiary.
"Over the past two years, as a member of the board of directors of the KGCCI, I was able to face many interesting topics in various business fields and exchange inspiration and experiences. Emphasizing the importance of innovation and social responsibility, I will do my best to create a relationship in which Korean and German companies can grow together,” said Chairman Gerrmann in an inaugural speech.
Since 2017, the KGCCI has introduced a system of co-chairpersons of Korea and Germany to more effectively reflect the characteristics of the two countries. Each chairman has a two-year term. As a result, the new chairman will lead the KGCCI jointly with CEO Park Hyun-nam of Deutsche Bank who is also the Korean chairman of KGCCI.
