An event held to share the culture of Azerbaijan under the theme of "World Coffee & Tea Day"

“GCEL (Global Culture & Economy Link) is an organization established for the purpose of performing various activities to promote mutual understanding and empathy and to recognize and solve problems in the global society by opening a place to exchange culture and business of each country through a global network,” said Chairperson Kim Ji-young of GCEL at a recent interview with The Korea Post media, publisher of 3 English and 2 Korean-language news publications since 1985.
In an interview with The Korea Post media, Chairperson Kim said, “Under the philosophy of mutual understanding, interest, people, sharing, service and respect, GCEL is planning various cultural events and activities.”
Then she said, “Through the activities of members from all walks of life and society at home and abroad, we are trying to promote mutual understanding and encourage many people and organizations to participate in global issues such as global environmental issues, international disputes, and human rights issues.”
The GCEL has sponsored a mask donation and delivery ceremony at the Azerbaijan Embassy in Seoul to pray for peace in Azerbaijan and delivered the goods to the embassy in December 2021.
In addition, GCEL plans to hold events to enjoy traditional coffee and tea in various countries and enjoy their culture regularly under the theme of "Word Coffee & Tea Day." It is also moving to arrange events to share Korean culture.

In 2022, GCEL hosted an event to share the culture of Azerbaijan under the themes of "World Coffee & Tea Day" and "Azerbaijan Tea Day” dedicated to the 2022-Shusha years."
The Docent Tour of the world-renowned master of contemporary art, a proud Korean artist, Park Seo-bo, is also scheduled for this year.
Chairperson Kim said, "We will exert an allout effort to play a role as a global cultural ambassador by opening a place for cultural exchanges that can experience various cultures of each country through various exhibitions and cultural events and understand each other based on them.”
Then she said, “We will share opportunities for mutual development through corporate visits and technology exchanges, and will act as a business bridge to create opportunities to grow together with Korea."

In order to continue to pursue GCEL's vision and goals, she continued to say, “It is necessary for the active interest and participation of many related agencies, companies, and voluntary participants at home and abroad.”
Chairperson Kim Ji-young of GCEL also serves as the vice chairman of AKEDA (Africa-Korea Economic Development Association) placed under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and CEO of the overseas division of Global Hoyeon, a corporation. She is working hard for GCEL's active global activities.
As mentioned above, GCEL plans to hold various exhibitions and cultural events for understanding of mutual culture as the first step of its purpose to participate in international issues and problems.
At the end of July 2022, GCEL held a cultural event at the One Poche (a venue for cultural activities) in the Gangnam Ward of Seoul with a slogan reading: "Azerbaijan Tea day-dedicated to the 2022-Shusha Years" as part of the "World Coffee & Tea Day” event.
It was an event where participants can enjoy traditional tea and refreshments of Azerbaijan, and they can get a glimpse into various Azerbaijan cultures through concerts of Azerbaijan traditional and classical music.

Also, there was a place to listen to the video appreciation of Azerbaijan history, economy and culture and explanations.
In the last event, participants were able to enjoy the food culture with caviar, one of the special products of Azerbaijan.
A ceremony was held to deliver the traditional Korean hanbok dress to the Azerbaijan vice minister and ambassador.
The event was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov of Azerbaijan, Ambassador Ramzi Teymurov of Azerbaijan in Seoul, and Ambassador Daul Matute-Mejia of Peru in Seoul.
The purpose of the "Word Coffee & Tea Day" event is to create a place where foreigners living in Korea with various nationalities and Koreans can understand and sympathize with each other through traditional coffee and tea culture experiences.

GCEL is an organization established with the aim of promoting global exchanges by opening a venue for exchange where you can promote Korea to the world through global networks and learn about each country's culture and business.
GCEL plays a role as a global cultural ambassador by holding various exhibitions and cultural events to provide an experience of various cultures of each country and to open a venue for mutual understanding based on them.
In addition, GCEL also serves as a business bridge to create an opportunity to grow together with Korea by sharing opportunities for mutual development through corporate tours and technology exchanges.

Through a tour of Korean companies and business trips, the visitors will be able to understand the culture and new technologies of Korean companies and promote them to global regions.
