Under the topic of “ESG in business management and ESG cases of foreign/Korean companies”

The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), supported by 17 foreign chambers in Korea, will jointly hold the “KGCCI x KOTRA Business+ Forum” at Lotte Hotel in Seoul on Oct. 13, 2022.

At the forum, Chung In-hee, vice president at Corporate Sustainability Center of Samsung Electronics, will address her speech as a guest speaker on the topic of “ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) in Business Management and ESG Cases of Foreign/Korean Companies.”

Over the past 20 years, Chung has gained multidirectional insights and perspectives on climate action and sustainability issues thanks to her professional experience with a global sustainability consulting firm (ERM), international organizations (UNEP and GGGI), a global chemical company (LG Chem), and currently with the Corporate Sustainability Center at Samsung Electronics.

"Samsung Electronics has been in the forefront of ESG management in Korea and their experience will certainly provide us with insights for now and the future," said a KOTRA official.

“This forum has been organized as Korea has already entered into the ESG era and ESG management has now become a necessity for companies operating in Korea since they are facing gradual yet intense progression toward mandatory disclosure and reporting,” he added.
