Genesis BBQ Group is now operating more than 2,500 BBQ stores in 58 countries including Korea. Its goal is to grow into the world's largest food service group by opening 50,000 franchisees around the world by 2030.

BBQ, which opened its first store in November 1995, broke through the 1,000th store in 1999, four years later. It is known that the growth rate is more than double that of McDonald's, the world's largest food service company, compared to the same period.

BBQ took second place in the “fastest-growing restaurant brand in the United States” selected by the global food service magazine “Nation’s Restaurant News” in August.
