The 20th Korea Import Fair to be held from June 29 to July 1, 2023 at COEX in Seoul

The Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) said that Chairman Kim Byung-kwan of Korea Importers Association discussed specific cooperation measures with Ambassador Mathias Francke of Chile to expand trade volume between Korea and Chile and diversify bilateral trade items.

Chairman Kim proposed that the two organizations actively cooperate to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries and promote exchanges and cooperation between SMEs next year, which marks the 20th anniversary of the Korea-Chile FTA.

He then mentioned that Chilean wine, pork, and fruits are popular in the Korean market.

Chairman Kim added, “I hope the Chilean government will actively cooperate to introduce its various products to the Korean market by participating in the Korea Import Fair to be held at COEX in Seoul next year.

In response, Ambassador Francke said he supports the Korean government's active trade policy and promised to actively cooperate to promote exchanges between companies of the two countries in the future.

In particular, he mentioned that he expects networking between businessmen of the two countries to become more active on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Korea-Chile FTA next year.

Meanwhile, the 20th Korea Import Fair to be held from June 29 to July 1, 2023 at COEX in Seoul, is the nation's largest import fair hosted by KOIMA, where people can see various products from around the world.
