SK Innovation subsidiary SK On is planning to showcase the SF (Super Fast) battery, the fastest-charging battery currently on the market. SK On’s special coating technology allows up to 80% charge in 18 minutes, with a range of more than 400 km on a single charge.

At CES 2023, the battery technology won the Best of Innovation Award in the “Embedded Technologies” category for the first time in the battery industry and the Innovation Award Honoree in the “Vehicle Tech & Advanced Mobility” category.

SK IE Technology (SKIET) is planning to unveil the lithium-ion battery separator (LiBS), which won the CES 2023 Innovation Award Honoree. The separator is a film-type material which is a key component in lithium-ion batteries.

And it ensures cell safety by blocking direct contact between anodes and cathodes within a cell. SKIET’s LiBS applies the eco-friendly ENPASS™ Ultrathin Ceramic Coated Separator (CCS), which has strong heat resistance, and the world’s first Sequential Stretching technology, which can freely extend the separator with uniform quality.

Also, the UD Tape, SK Geo Centric’s lightweight material for vehicles, won its first Innovation Award Honoree and will showcase its high-functioning composite material that reduces the EV’s weight.

SK E&S will unveil COVE, a home EV charger manufactured by the American EV charging company EverCharge, which SK E&S acquired in March last year. EverCharge’s charger distributes power efficiently by analyzing the charging patterns of EVs and effectively manages a building’s entire power load. SK E&S plans to expand its market share in the fast-growing U.S. EV charging market by utilizing EverCharge’s unparalleled technology.

SK Signet, a subsidiary of SK, will unveil V2, its new standard ultra-fast charger. This product enables stable and fast charging based on improvements in power module efficiency, a key component of EV chargers. SK Signet’s Ultra-Fast Chargers make it possible for you to travel up to 32km within a minute’s charge and can charge an EV from 20% to 80% in 18 minutes.
