Innovation in manufacturing and research and development activities is a key part of LG Group's new drive for growth, the group's chairman said Tuesday.
LG Group Chairman Koo Bon-moo made the remarks at a meeting with the group's senior executives earlier in the day.
LG has vowed to bring innovative leadership and technologies to its manufacturing and research processes at a time when the global economy faces slower growth.
During the meeting, Koo urged senior executives to take a leadership role in advancing innovation and helping the group find a new growth engine.
Koo called for senior executives to set a "clear target" for their businesses.
About 400 executives, including LG Electronics Inc. Vice Chairman and CEO Jo Seong-jin, attended the meeting, LG said. (Yonhap)
