Moon 41.7% vs Ahn 39.3%
Second opposition People’s Party Presaidential Candidate Ahn Cheol-soo is in a close pursuit with 39.3% support after main opposition Minjoo Party Presidential Candidate Moon Jae-in with 41.7% in polls.
According to a latest poll result conducted by Korea’s leading daily, Dong-A Ilbo, published this morning (March 31), People’s Party Presidential Candidate Ahn Cheol-soo won 39.3% support, very little behind the continuous front-runner main opposition Minjoo Party Presidential Candidate Moon Jae-in who won 41.7%.
The survey conducted by Research & Reseach on orders of Dong-A Ilbo on the occasion of the leading Korean-language daily’s 97th anniversary of founding on April 1, showed a meteorological rise of Ahn shortly after his formal declaration of candidacy as Korea’s next President after the discredited former President Park Geun-hye who had just been sent to a detention house this morning.
The latest result indicates the fall of 2.6% from 44.3% in the case of Moon compared with the last polls conducted by Dong-A on 3rd and 4th last month.
In contrast, Ahn won a whopping 10.7% from the 28.6% he had won in the same survey by Dong-A.
Predictions are now looming larger and larger pointing to the possibility that Ahn might overtake and defeat Moon in due course of time.
