LG Electronics Inc. said Sunday it installed the world's largest organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display signage in the United Arab Emirates, recognized by the Guinness World Records.

The South Korean company said the installation at the Dubai Mall features 820 units of 55-inch OLED display panels, with an estimated combined size of around 700 square meters.

LG said the OLED devices are capable of delivering vivid color from different angles and can be utilized to form different designs, making them a suitable choice when building signage platforms.

The Guinness World Records recognized the signage at Dubai Mall as the "Largest OLED Screen," the company added.

LG has been seeking to tap the signage business as its new growth engine. (Yonhap)
