U.S. President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe agreed to step up pressure on North Korea and maintain a close coordination in telephone talks Sunday.
"We completely agreed that we must thoroughly coordinate with each other and with South Korea, and cooperate closely with the international community, to increase pressure on North Korea and make it change its policies," Abe was quoted by Kyodo News as telling reporters.
It was their third phone talks since North Korea launched an intermediate ballistic missile over Japan into the northern Pacific Ocean on Tuesday. (Yonhap)
