Genji, Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Japanese restaurant, is pleased to announce a special promotion from now until the end of January featuring swellfish (also called fugu), a seasonal delicacy highly revered in Japanese cuisine. Delight in the finest flavors and most tender textures that can only be experienced during swellfish season and at the hands of a skilled, veteran chef.
Winter is the best time to eat fugu, as the swellfish fatten in colder weather to survive the low temperatures. The taste of swellfish is often described as wonderfully sublime. Eating this Japanese delicacy is a gastronomic experience that must be experienced by epicurean diners.
Genji’s talented chefs have created a variety of swellfish dishes to be offered on both the a la carte menu and a special Kaiseki menu. The dishes will include swellfish sashimi, swellfish in a stone pot, grilled swellfish, deep fried swellfish, and swellfish porridge, and more. A la carte prices range from KW29,000 to KW120,000. The eight-course Kaiseki menu is priced at KW225,000 per person.
