At an ambassadorial tour organized by The Korea Post media
A total of over 65 members of the Seoul Diplomatic Corps (most of them ambassadors and their spouses), as well as Ambassador Sylvestre Kouassi Bile of Cote d'Ivoire (dean of the visiting members of the Seoul Diplomatic Corps that day) and Ambassador Aleksandr Timonin of the Russian Federation, from a total of over 30 different countries of the world, attended a tour of the Lotte World Tower in Seoul on Jan. 19, 2018, which was organized by The Korea Post media. Many of the ambassadors were accompanied by their spouses and in the case of Viet Nam Mrs. Tran Thi Lan Hinh attended the event on behalf of her husband, Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tu. From the host company, the Lotte World, came Vice Chairman Song Yong-dok, President Park Dong-gi and other competent executives and managers who greeted each ambassador and Madam attending the tour.
Speaking to the ambassadors and other visiting members of the SDC, President Park said, “The concept of Seoul Sky (Lotte World Tower) was ‘Beauty and Pride of Korea’ which expresses the color of Korea and for this reason the Tower has become a target of admiration from all the peoples around the world as a global landmark in Korea.” (See excerpts from his speech toward the end of this report.)
In response to the welcome speech of President Park, Ambassador Sylvestre Kouassi Bile of Cote d'Ivoire, most senior among all visiting members of the SDC that day and acting as dean of the SDC delegation said, “The building which stands as proud as a beautiful lady among her courtiers will definitely become a landmark tourist destination, like other famous towers around the world.” (See excerpts from his speech at the end of this report.)

I take pleasure, on behalf of my colleagues Ambassadors, the members of the diplomatic corps and their spouses, to thank you very sincerely for organizing this visit at the Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in Seoul and one of the highest worldwide.
I want to assure you that I feel humble, with my heart full of emotion, in front of such a gigantic human work.
Visiting Seoul Sky is an experience that deserves to be lived once in a lifetime. The impression of grandeur that the visitors experience is really strong.
The building which stands as proud as a beautiful lady among her courtiers will definitely become a landmark tourist destination, like other famous towers around the world.
Once again I would like to express our gratitude for associating us with impressive show at 555 meters above sea level.
