Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Demeke Mekonnen Hassen of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia will make his first official visit to the Republic of Korea on Nov. 30-Dec. 3, 2014. This was disclosed at a brief interview with Ambassador Dibaba Abdetta of Ethiopia in Seoul conducted by The Korea Post on Nov. 24, 2014.

During his stay in Korea, DPM Hassen and his Delegation will share rich Korean experiences in economic and social development with Korean ministries, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science, and the Ministry of ICT & Future Planning.

The Ethiopian Delegation has a plan to discuss with Korean S&T institutions on mutual cooperation between the two countries in the areas of science and technology.

The Delegation will also have time with the major Korean companies to brief them about Ethiopia's investment opportunities.

The Ethiopian side expects that the first official visit by the Deputy Prime Minister would be the corner stone to further develop historical relationship and cooperation between Korea and Ethiopia.
