Woo Ran Beverages Co., Ltd., Korean distributor of the vodka in Korea, hosted a launching event of ‘Crystal Head’ vodka at Behive in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on Dec. 22, 2014.
“The ‘Crystal Head’ is an additive-free vodka that has created waves globally,” said CEO Hanbit Maru of Woo Ran at a press briefing.
Premium & luxury vodka, Crystal Head, according to CEO Habit Maru, was founded by Actor Dan Aykroyd and Artist John Alexander in 2007 based on a 5,000-year-old relic legend.
The Woo Ran CEO said at the briefing that he was pleased to introduce Crystal Head Vodka to Korean consumers after a longer time.
Then he said he was confident that Crystal Head, which is a highly upgraded vodka, will also create a sensation in the premium liquor market in Korea.

“Some people may say that the vodka’s distinctive design is highly competitive,” he said, “but I would like to attribute its prestige to its taste and favor.”
He said: “I believe it will fully meet the sophisticated needs of Korean consumers. Crystal Head does not contain any additives and, as a result, it boasts the highest level of purity and quality.”
Korean actress Clara attended the launching event. She is Crystal Head’s goodwill ambassador to Korea.
Excerpts from the Woo Ran CEO’s introduction to ‘Crystal Head’ follow:

Crystal Head Vodka, which possesses a distinctive visual identity,
is now drawing enthusiastic support from global trendsetters, thanks to its exceptional taste and flavor.
Aykroyd and Alexander conceived of the idea for Crystal Head Vodka in 2007. After many futile attempts to find a vodka that was free of additives, Aykroyd set out to create one of the world’s purest vodkas. Alexander designed the bottle based on the legend of the 13 Crystal Skulls. The purity and quality of the skulls of legend were a perfect match for the super premium vodka.

Crystal Head Vodka is manufactured by Globefill Inc. in Newfound, and Labrador, Canada. The world’s best-quality peaches and cream corn grown in the Chatham-Kent region of Ontario is processed and distilled four times to produce a neutral grain spirit. The liquid is then filtered seven times of which three are through Herkimer diamonds. It is gluten free and additive free (no glycol or citrus oils or added sugars). It is made with pristine Newfoundland water and is distilled four times. It is smooth, as a result. The factory and product is certified kosher as well as gluten-free .
After Crystal Head debuted in 2008, it has won numerous awards including a Gold Medal for Excellent Taste at the 2013 Moscow ProdExpo International Tasting Contest in which about 400 vodkas from 22 countries competed. It also won a Double Gold Medal from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2011.
Crystal Head launched in California in 2008 and launched in four other states shortly after. Liquor stores sold out quickly within three weeks after it launched. Supply could not keep up with demand. Crystal Head was recorded as the brand that reached all the 50 states faster than any other brands. According to 2010 data compiled from IMPACT, Crystal Head Vodka reached the one-million bottle mark faster than other vodkas. It is now available in 43 countries including Canada where the vodka maintains the second largest market share.
