LG Electronics Inc., a South Korean tech giant, said Sunday it has been holding a global contest for youngsters with disabilities in India.

The eighth annual Global IT Challenge for Youth with Disabilities began Friday for a four-day run in New Delhi, drawing some 300 participants from 18 nations, the company said.

The competitors in the individual contest will be evaluated on their ability to utilize MS office programs and search for information in certain situations.

For the group challenge, they will shoot videos, edit images and create a game with a coding program, LG said. (yonhap)
