The base Palisade SUV starts at 42 million won (US$37,000) with the price of not more than 50 million won even with all options, the statement said.

Hyundai has yet to finalize the prices for the all-wheel-drive, three-row crossover. The model will reach consumers in the domestic market next month, with overseas launches scheduled for 2019.

Hyundai unveiled the Palisade at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 2.2-liter diesel engine or a 3.8-liter gasoline engine.

The new SUV, which Hyundai believes will strengthen its SUV lineup, boasts spacious eight-passenger seating with high-end materials; advanced convenience and safety features in the cabin; and ample cargo space for leisure activities. (Yonhap)
