Samsung Electronics Co. on Dec. 13, 2018 unveiled a new laptop equipped with an improved stylus that can carry out a wider range of more detailed tasks.

The South Korean tech giant said the Samsung Notebook Pen S, which can also be converted to a tablet PC, will hit the local shelves starting on Dec. 14, 2018.

The new laptop comes with S-Pen that is twice as fast as its predecessor, enabling users to write notes as if they are using an actual pen.

The Samsung Notebook Pen S can automatically change hand-written notes into texts, and comes with MyScript Nebo application that can digitally convert more complicated notes, including diagrams.

The laptop supports universal flash storage (UFS) cards, which are five-times faster than micro SD cards. It is equipped with NVIDIA's GeForce MX150 graphic card.

The 15-inch edition of the Samsung Notebook Pen S with Intel Core i7 Processor comes with a price tag of 2.78 million won (US$2,471). That of the smaller 13.3-inch version is 2.44 million won. (Yonhap)
