Saying, “The President is thinking as if it were a state-owned company”

Small shareholders of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) announced on July 4, 2019 that they will formally file a charge with the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office against President Moon Jae-in.

Chairman Chang Byung-chun of the KEPCO Small Share Holders’ Action Organization issued a statement, in which he claimed, “President Moon Jae-in has turned the profit-making KEPCO into a loss-suffering company by using the company as if it were a government-owned company.

According to Chosun Ilbo and other Korean-language daily newspapers on the afternoon of June 4, the government was trying to use the KEPCO as if it were a government-possessed company while it was a business company listed on the stock market.
