‘Colour of Asia’ concert marks 33 Years of S. Korea–Kyrgyzstan Ties

Cultural showcase held in Seoul with performances from both nations

A special concert titled “Colour of Asia” was successfully held on April 16 at Lotte Concert Hall in Jamsil, Seoul, in celebration of the 33rd anniversary of diplomatic ties between South Korea and Kyrgyzstan. The event was co-hosted by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture(SFAC) and the Soliall Philharmonic Orchestra, with support from the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Korea. The performance was directed by Artistic Director Ahn Joo-eun and conducted by Diego Crovetti, presenting a diverse lineup that captivated the audience.

The concert featured a powerful performance by the Soliall Philharmonic Orchestra, alongside a traditional Kyrgyz performance group. The collaboration created a beautiful harmony between the two nations’ cultures, enhancing the spirit of Asian cultural unity and exchange. The event drew a large crowd, including local citizens and diplomatic figures.

In her congratulatory remarks, Aisuluu, Seoul Metropolitan Council member and Vice Chairperson of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (Democratic Party, Proportional Representative), stated, “It is an honor to be part of this meaningful event celebrating 33 years of friendship between Korea and Kyrgyzstan. I extend my sincere gratitude to the performers and organizers who prepared such a wonderful program.” She added, “With continued interest in Central Asian culture, we plan to further promote international cultural exchange.”

Ambassador Aida Ismailova of the Kyrgyz Republic to South Korea also addressed the audience, saying, “Today’s event is more than a celebration—it is a valuable moment that reflects the deep friendship between our countries through culture and the arts. For Kyrgyz citizens living in Korea, I hope this concert brings back memories of their homeland and its beautiful traditions.” She emphasized, “Culture and art are powerful tools for understanding and respecting each other’s values. I hope this performance marks the beginning of deeper cultural exchange and sustainable cooperation between our two countries.”
