Spreading the charm of Sydney, one of the world’s top 7 marathon cities, through MBN’s “Run to Live in Sydney”
Korean celebrities take on a challenge of endurance and healing—celebrating the unique harmony of nature, city, and sports across Sydney and New South Wales
Tourism Australia and Destination New South Wales have partnered with Korean broadcaster MBN to feature the beauty and energy of Sydney—recently recognized as one of the world’s seven major marathon cities—in a special two-part variety program titled “Run to Live in Sydney”, airing on November 10 and 17.
In the first episode, Korean celebrities including Sean, Lee Young-pyo, Yang Se-hyung, Ko Han-min, Lee Jang-jun, Sleepy, Yulhee, and Coach Kwon Eun-joo take on the TCS Sydney Marathon, running across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and crossing the finish line in front of the Sydney Opera House, delivering moments of inspiration and triumph.
The TCS Sydney Marathon, officially elevated this year to the prestigious Abbott World Marathon Majors series, now stands alongside Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York, and Tokyo as one of the world’s seven major marathons. The event, Australia’s largest international marathon, drew more than 33,000 participants from over 100 countries, with its scenic route linking the Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, and Opera House hailed as “the world’s most beautiful marathon course.”
The second episode, airing next week, will follow the cast as they unwind from the marathon by exploring Hunter Valley and Port Stephens, two of New South Wales’ most beloved getaway destinations. In Hunter Valley—Australia’s oldest wine region—the cast enjoys a culinary journey through over 150 wineries and gourmet restaurants. In Port Stephens, they experience the thrill of outdoor adventures amid vast sand dunes and pristine beaches, including dolphin cruises and quad biking, embracing the freedom and vitality that define Australia’s great outdoors.
