On Aug. 30, 2015, a cultural event to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan was organized by PresidentMudassir Cheema of Pakistan Business Association at K-Turtle in Seoul under the auspices of the Embassy of Pakistan.
More than 800 Pakistanis attended the cultural evening at which the young artist from Pakistan, Ms. Sara Raza Khan, sang Mili-Naghme and regional songs. The Pakistani community along with their families responded enthusiastically to the melodious voice of Ms. Khan.
Ambassador Zahid Nasrullah Khan of Pakistan was the chief guest, who was joined by National Assembly member, Rep. Ms. Jasmine Lee, as co-chief guest.
Ambassador Khan urged the community to firmly hold on to the principles of our great leader, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and briefed them on the remarkable economic and security achievements of the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Rep. Lee congratulated the Pakistani community on their Independence Day and was amazed to see such a large gathering.
The programme included recitation from the Holy Quran, National Anthems of Pakistan and Korea, a cake cutting ceremony and songs from Sara Raza Khan.
