Audi Korea (MD. Johannes Thammer) has announced that the company will be the official sponsor to the 36th Blue Dragon Film Awards scheduled onNov. 26 at the Sejong Cultural Center Seoul, this was recently disclosed by Audi Korea’s Marketing Director Joerg Dietzel.
According to Dietzel, Audi Korea will assist one of Korea’s prestigious film awarding ceremonies by providing various ceremonial cars such as high-end luxury sedan New Audi A8 L; high-performance models like RS 7, S7 and S6; A7 that excels both in design and performance; the prestigious SUV Q7 and more.
“Audi Korea has been heading various cultural and lifestyle-oriented marketing such as Audi Live (concert), Audi Lounge by Blue Note (performance), Audi Design Challenge (design competition) and so forth,” Dietzel said. “Sponsoring the Blue Dragon Film Awards known as the top film awards ceremony in Korea, is one of the most meaningful marketing for Audi that stresses innovative design and idea,” he said.

Meanwhile at the awards ceremony Dietzel said that he will also take the stage to name the winner and present the award for the film which attracted the most admission.
Audi Korea intends to keep up with the interest and sponsorship toward Korean films thus, contribute further to the development of the local film industry as a whole. Aside from official sponsorship to the Blue Dragon Film Awards which Audi Korea started in 2008 and marks its eighth year for 2015, the auto brand, in collaboration with the male fashion magazine ‘Arena Homme Plus,’ has also recently launched ‘A-Movie Project’ to uncover newbie film directors in Korea in April this year. Separately Audi brand has long stood as the most vibrant sponsor to filmmaking and the development of film industry around the world among other auto brands. Audi AG is the official partner to Berlin International Film Festival and has also been providing various ceremonial cars for the festival as well as other conveniences at by running Audi Lounge and others.
