Starbucks Korea announced on Nov. 19 that it will open Starbucks Yeoksam e-Mart as a delivery test store on Nov. 27 and will review whether to implement future delivery services.

Starbucks Yeoksam e-Mart is a delivery pilot store that can only deliver goods, unlike the existing Starbucks store where customers can stay and pick up their ordered products directly.
The 30-pyeong store consists of only a rider's entrance, a rider's waiting space, and a beverage manufacturing and food and MD storage space without any additional customer accommodation.

The baristas in the store will focus only on the manufacture and packaging of ordered products without direct response to visiting customers, and will focus on quality control and rapid delivery services.

Orders can only be placed through the Starbucks mobile app, and delivery orders can be placed within a 1.5km radius of the store's location. When entering the delivery address, you can check the deliveryable area, and if the customer is located in the delivery area, you can proceed with the order and payment process.

Baek Ji-woong, head of Starbucks' new business, said, "By operating the beta test, we will be able to meet the needs of our customers who are changing due to COVID-19 and accumulate various data and experiences on delivery.”
