Doosan Infracore set the largest sales record in 10 years in the Chinese excavator market last year. Doosan Infracore announced on Jan. 11 that it sold 18,686 excavators in China in 2020.

This is an increase of 22.4% from 15,270 units sold in 2019. It is the highest in 10 years since its sales reached 16,700 units in 2011.

Based on foreign companies that have entered the Chinese excavator market, Doosan Infracore is currently competing with Caterpillar (CAT), the world's No. 1 company, by raising its market share to 23% from 13% in 2015.

"The Chinese excavator market is expected to continue to grow with the Chinese government's expansion of infrastructure investment," a Doosan Infracore official said. "We will further strengthen our business channel base and expand our market presence with differentiated strategies."
