On the former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration to run for the Presidency, People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok said on June 29, "It was a wonderful speech."
On the same day, CEO Lee posted on Facebook, "I heard the speech of former Prosecutor General Yoon in the car.”
He said, “It contains who is doing politics and for whom, and the direct and concrete way of speaking is impressive, not the ambiguous way of speech that the younger generation rejects.”
Lee added, “I have confirmed that the views of the majority of people who want a change of the incumbent government are not very different from Yoon’s.”
Earlier, on the afternoon of the same day, former Prosecutor General Yoon held a press conference at the Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall in Maheon-gu, Seocho-gu, Seoul and officially declared that he would run for president next year, saying, “I will definitely rebuild the value of liberal democracy, the rule of law, and fairness that transcends times and generations.”
Yoon went on to say to the Moon Jae-in regime, “It does not stop at privatizing power, but plans to extend its power and continues to plunder the people. What kind of democracy does the regime want?"
He also said, "We must do a change of the Moon government. I dare say that I am ready to devote myself and give everything for the future of the people and country."
