Says Model Kim Lee-sun on poem of love
“I want to spread Korean aesthetic contents to the world,” said Model Kim Lee-sun.
In an interview with The Korea Post Media, publisher of 3 English and 2 Korea-language news publications since 1985, Model Kim Lee-sun said, “What is love? It is an attribute of God, but it has not left our side as the main material of numerous works of art since history.”
She said, “It is the face of duality that will be a gate to heaven for some, but a hell gate for others. As in the movie ‘Copying Beethoven,’ the trembling of the air is the breath of God that speaks to the human soul.”
Like a messenger who said, “Art is the language of God,” Model Kim Lee-sun wants to be such a messenger.
At a practice room in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul in the afternoon at the end of August, Model Kim Lee-sun concentrated on practice with Park Ji-yoon, CEO of “Park Ji-yoon Dress.”
Model Kim and CEO Park with 15 years of experience, who are lovingly digesting the 'off-the-shoulder dress', showed off the splendor and elegance like in a wedding.
As seen in this work, the harmony between CEO Park and Model Kim is fantastic and they can be said to be “persons born to be loved.”
In particular, Model Kim Lee-sun is working hard to practice walking today with a firm determination to grow her through other people.
It is a reality these days that they are close enough to be called models, entertainers, and model-tainers in our society.
Models are required to have an average height of 172 cm or higher for women, basic walking skills and career, and acting skills to work as an entertainer.
In addition, English speaking ability is required to target overseas activities, and the most important part is making an image that is differentiated from others above all else. Kim Yi-sun, a model with perfect height of 172cm, is also perfect for all of these conditions. The main contents of the interview are as follows.
Q: Please introduce yourself.
A: Model Kim Lee-sun was born in Seoul. After graduating from the Department of English at the Hankook University of Foreign Studies, she studied in Australia and worked for 3 years at a Hilton hotel in the country.
Q: Please tell us about your motivation for entering the model industry and your activities.
A: After completing the regular course at the Charming School in 2020, I won the ‘Sun (good)’ award at the Asian Beauty Queen Model Contest in April 2021. It was my first stage.
I have had a special interest in fashion and modeling since childhood, but I did not have many opportunities, so I made a new start for self-development after marriage.
Q: If you have plans for the second half of this year or 2022, please tell us.
A: Several festival performances were planned for the second half of this year, but they have been postponed due to COVID-19.
In 2022, I am planning cultural exchange events with foreign embassies and agencies in Korea.
Q: Please tell us about your experience of participating in foreign-related fashion shows and events, or if you have any plans to develop overseas markets in the future.
A: I participated in the Korea-Vietnam fashion exchange event with the Vietnamese embassy in Korea, and we plan to continue overseas cultural exchange events to promote the excellence of world fashion and Korean fashion together with the embassies of each country.
In particular, I plan to serve as a publicity ambassador as an ambassador for Hallyu culture through fashion shows with foreign embassies.
Q: If you have any suggestions or tips for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Yechong (The Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organization of Korea) and other related organizations, please let us know.
A: Currently, in Korea, the space and conditions for permanent fashion shows and costume exhibitions are poor.
I hope that it will become an opportunity to introduce Korean fashion to the world through active interest by each group and government agency.
In particular, I would like to see many exhibition halls for traditional Korean clothes, such as Hanbok, or those for dresses and general clothing fashion being built at the pan-government level.
Q: If you have any suggestions other than those previously mentioend, please let me know.
A: To me, the year 2021 seems like a new year. It is my last year in my 40s, and now I’d like to open up a new world of life as I approach 50, a new beginning full of maturity.
