Chairman Lee Jun-seok of the ruling People Power Party (PPP), who visited Ukraine, met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss support measures, practical exchanges and cooperation between Korea and Ukraine, the PPP announced on June 8.
The PPP quoted President Zelensky as saying in the meeting, "They (Russians) are trying to destroy the evidence, but we are trying to leave the evidence. We will win, we need attention now. We want the world to know this."

In a written briefing on June 8, Chief Spokesperson Huh Eun-ha of the PPP said that Ukraine's Presidential office has offered concrete proposals for reconstruction projects in Ukraine, with expectations for bilateral relations between Ukraine and South Korea.
In response, Chairman Lee said, "I will deliver the proposals to President Yoon Suk-yeol on mutual exchange, support, and cooperation measures."

The meeting, which was held on the afternoon of June 6 (local time), was attended by President Zelenski and Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak. At the request of the Ukrainian government, the specific time and location were not disclosed for security purposes.
On the same day, the Korean delegation visited the Kyiv 'Warrior Memorial Wall' and offered flowers to worship and visited the Children's Hospital to comfort the children who were injured during the war.
