Sion Khan is pushing ahead with a project to draw the face of a million people for peace

Artist Sion Khan, who is pushing for a project to draw a million faces for peace, held a nude drawing exhibition from June 8 to 13 at Taehwa Building in Insa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Sion Khan, who has been drawing "peace faces" since 2003 when he had surgery for gastric cancer, has been working on various tasks while drawing 50,000 faces so far.
Among them, he presented some of the thousands of nude drawing works.

Although there may be a prejudice that a painter who works on peace draws nudes in a weird way, Artist Sion Khan is a painter with a strong aesthetics or philosophy about nudes to the extent that he published a book of poems titled 'I'm still having an orgasm' in 2008.

Sex is the device that human beings need for eternal multiplication. In order to conceive, it is essential that a man and a woman be copulated.
God doesn't preach, "Tonight you're going to do something holy" to make a man conceive life. Just by giving it what is desire, desire makes it possible.

The desire for this sex must be strong, so that people can endure the labor and pain of conception and childbirth.
“Nude is made possible because it has the visual and emotional beauty that allows desire to work.” Artist Sion Khan said that human nudity has a divine will that embodies the values of creation and love.
In addition, the beauty of nudes is that 'the goal of life is to live in perfection through the human desire for perfection.
Beauty is thus always a sign that leads us to eternal life or perfection.

The beauty of nudes stimulates human sexual desire and urges aesthetic exploration. So those who feel beauty will love it.

“Nude is secularized and vulgarized in the morals and ethics of society, but the nude itself is just a human being. It is decorated and covered with civilization and culture, but from a primitive level, the nude itself is not an object of criticism and ridicule.

“It is an attractive existence to some, an object of admiration for an artist, or an object of contempt and shame, but the nude I saw is an object that urges human sexual desire and is the body of creation of life.

“In the modern society where the commercialization of material civilization is triggered, there is a tendency to be too commercialized and snobbish, but there is a tendency toward progress in the sense that the nude is not a shameful existence.

“The nude is not just a tool for hedonism, it is a beautiful being with a great mission to make the desire for proliferation possible,” said Artist Sion Khan.

A distinctive feature of his recent works is that he emphasized the dreamlike emotion more through the surrealist realistic drawing.

In addition, it is said that he has done a considerable amount of nude croquis using the croquis technique that has been firmly established through the Peace Face Drawing Campaign.

“Human beings are beautiful because they resemble the image of a god, and their castles are beautiful, great, and happy. So we have a duty and a right to enjoy the castle sacredly and beautifully and happily,” he stressed.
