This event is scheduled to be held once every two months

Global Culture & Economy Link (GCEL), aiming for international cultural exchange held the first cultural event World Coffee & Tea Day together with the Azerbaijan Embassy in Korea on July 23, 2022 at One Poche, a social salon located in Dogok-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

This event is scheduled to be held once every two months, and each time, coffee, tea and refreshments of the selected host countries, as well as food culture, music, dance, and various related local cultures will be presented.

Based on the basis that coffee and tea are not simply eating and drinking, but a cultural medium that can show the daily life of the country through various humanistic conversations, this event, held in a salon-type space, is a time to share tea with loved ones. 

It will be an opportunity to get acquainted with the daily lives of countries that are not normally familiar with and further various politics, economy, history, and culture through comfortable and enjoyable conversations like this one.

At the event, Azerbaijan Ambassador to Korea Ramzi Teymurov and Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister H.E. Elnur Mammadov was present and celebrated.

In addition, the history of Azerbaijan and the importance of culture, in particular, various cultural stories commemorating the 2022 Year of Shusha were presented.

Ambassador Daul Matute Meija of Peruvia in Seoul and his wife Maria Gabriela Blanca de Matute attended and had a meaningful time.
After a small seminar introducing the traditional tea culture of Azerbaijan, Ambassador Ramji Teymurov brewed tea himself and served the guests with the traditional dessert baklava.

A string duet concert with music from Azerbaijan was also included.
