CJ Group has appointed the youngest female CEO at the age of 45.
The CJ Group announced that it had appointed Lee Sun-jung, who had served as the head of CJ Olive Young's sales division, as the new CEO of CJ Olive Young after carrying out an executive reshuffle in 2022. Lee Sun-jung, a business leader, was born in 1977. She is the youngest CEO in the CJ Group and the first female CEO of CJ Olive Young.
In order to speedily implement the medium-term vision announced in November last year, CJ Group retained most of its CEOs and replaced only some of them. To strengthen the group's overall ability to respond to external environments, a new holding company management support representative was established, and CEO Kang Ho-sung of CJ ENM's entertainment division, was appointed. In the case of CJ Corporation, the existing CEO Kim Hong-ki will be the management representative, and the new CEO Kang Ho-sung will be the representative for management support centered on external cooperation.
CJ Olive Young CEO Koo Chang-gun was appointed as the new CEO of CJ ENM Entertainment. CEO Koo served as the CEO of CJ Foodville and CJ Olive Young after serving as the head of strategy 1 at the holding company.
44 new executives were appointed during this personnel appointment. The average age of new executives is 45.5 years. We continued our focus on actively discovering talented young talent.
