To offer a special lecture on building a sustainable bar culture
The company is collaborating with Odd Strandbakken, head bartender at Charles H. in the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul to support sustainable bar operation.

Pernod Ricard Korea, the Korean unit of the global wine and spirits company Pernod Ricard, announced that it is teaming up with head bartender Odd Strandbakken from Charles H. in the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul to offer a special lecture on building a sustainable bar culture.
The special lecture will be held on Nov. 14, as part of the Bar World of Tomorrow, a training program for sustainable bar operations that Pernod Ricard Korea has been operating since January of this year.

Odd is the Head Bartender of the Four Seasons Seoul, overseeing Charles H. and Oul. He strives to create clean but tasty minimalist cocktails using culinary techniques collected from around the world as he promotes a sustainable bar culture. Through the lecture, he will introduce the concept of sustainability as it can be practiced in the bar industry and share ways of making sustainable syrups and garnishes with local produce along with recipes for sustainable cocktails created from such ingredients. Charles H. is ranked No.7 in Asia's 50 Best Bars, released in May 2022, which is the No.1 records among Korean bars.
CEO Frantz Hotton of Pernod Ricard Korea noted, “Sustainability cannot be achieved with a one-off training session. It is important to share ideas and practice them continuously. I hope that the special lecture provides a great opportunity to share new techniques for sustainability in the bar industry in Korea and build a more sustainable bar culture.”
Meanwhile, Pernod Ricard Group has set a 2030 Sustainability and Responsibility Roadmap, ‘Good Times from a Good Place’ built on key pillars like Nurturing Terroir, Valuing People, Circular Making and Responsible Hosting. It has been implementing it at all its subsidiaries around the world. The Bar World of Tomorrow workshop is part of its efforts to realize this roadmap. The company is recruiting participants for the eighth class, which will be held in December. Approximately 180 bartenders, bar owners, and university students majoring in tourism and hotel management studies aged 19 or older have completed the course so far. Details are available on Pernod Ricard Korea’s homepage.
