Yoon make major pledges to restore professional construction industries

Korea Specialty Contractors Association (KSCA) announced on Dec. 19 that CEO Yoon Hak-soo of Jangpyeong Construction was elected as the 12th KSCA chairman.

The association held an extraordinary general meeting and held an election at the KSCA building in Sindaebang-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul. As a result, Yoon was elected chairman with 91 votes out of 166 delegates.

Yoon was previously elected as the 12th chairman of the association last year, but was ruled invalid by a court because secret voting regulations were not followed during the election process.

Yoon made major pledges such as restoring professional construction industries that collapsed due to the opening of the mutual market in the construction industry and relieving the excessive burden of member companies such as safety management and defects.

"We will take the lead in restoring the professional construction industry and increasing its value through harmony and communication," newly-elected Chairman Yoon said.
