Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon met U.S. Ambassador to Korea Philip Goldberg at the Gwacheon Government Complex, Gyeonggi Province on Jan. 30.
The two sides reaffirmed the importance of friendly relations between the two countries on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Korea-U.S. alliance this year.
In addition, they decided to strengthen mutual cooperation and communication in various fields, such as jointly responding to corruption crimes.
Shin Ja-yong, director general of the Ministry of Justice's prosecution bureau, and Christopher Rose, consul general of the U.S. Embassy in Korea, also attended the meeting.
