More than 300 Bangladeshi nationals and their families living in Korea attended

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul celebrated the Bangla New Year-1430 with great fervor and festivity on May 7, 2023 at the auditorium of the Eunpyeong Gu Sports Center in Seoul. More than 300 Bangladeshi nationals and their families living in the Republic of Korea spontaneously took part in the event.

On this day, the auditorium was decorated with colorful banners, festoons, balloons and decorative items and Bangladeshi handicraft items were displayed at the auditorium entrance. People took part in Mangal Shovajatra wearing colorful dresses and carrying banners, festoons, masks and traditional musical instruments.

Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Korea Mr. Delwar Hossain extended his greetings on the occasion of Bangla New Year expressing hope that the Bangla New Year would bring new hope, happiness, peace, and prosperity.

On that day a colorful cultural program was held. The Embassy family, expatriate Bangladeshi performers and artists from Bangladesh performed folk song, dance and poetry recitation. The guests were served with traditional Bangladeshi cuisine.
